Kanara Welfare Trust (Regd) Ankola, Uttarkannada, Karnataka state established Kanara Welfare  Trust’s B.Ed. college at Dandeli in June 2005. The college has been going pioneering work in  the field of teaching education from its inception. It provides pre-service teacher training to  prepare secondary school teachers. It has completed 15fruitful year in the cause of teacher  education by concentrated effort to march towards excellence. It has been considered as one of  the outstanding B.Ed. colleges of Karnataka State. The college is affiliated by national council  for Teacher Education New Delhi. The college is included under sec 2(f) of UGC Act. The  college has an intake capacity of one unit i.e. 50 students. The college offers two years course of  education leading to degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). The college has sincerely been  striving to provide rich and meaningful curricular as well as co- curricular experience to student  teachers. 

The board of Karana Welfare Trust, monitors and guides the academic and administrative  aspects of the college .It has taken lot interest to provide fully qualified staff, library. Well equipped labs such as science lab, computer lab, curriculum resource center as per NCTC  Norms. College has independent building with sufficient rooms, play ground with all the sports  facilities community hall. It is situated in the heart of the city of Dandeli of Uttar Kannada  District very near to bus stand. 

The college aims at preparing teachers who help to shape the tender minds in the  humane, creative and innovative citizens of the society. The institution has focused to meet the  demands of modern society providing skillful training to student teachers.
